How many people who did NOT resist arrest were killed by police in 2019? Seems like that data would be helpful context. Not the whole story, of course. But ask yourself why you have never seen that stat.

Better data for sure

Would you say the problem with the acces to the data is systemic racism? Widespread cover ups and not being able to trust police numbers (what Scott keeps saying when presented with numbers) could be the example Scott is looking for in his challenge. He’s illustrating it now.

I've seen three personally. All were white guys. Two were homeless men with obvious mental health problems.

Would you support mandating body cameras on all police officers during active duty?
-
Absolutely.

I don't see how that would be useful. Daniel Shaver was shot by police while on his knees begging for his life. It was justified. Resisting? The departments transparent enough to give you good data won't be the ones with problems.
-
Personally, that may have been the worst shooting ever captured on video. If it makes you feel better, the officer that shot him 5 times with an AR15 close range collects a pension from the state.

According to data from http://mappingpoliceviolence.org 336 "Black" (their word not mine) unarmed people were killed by police in their database. Representing about 1 in 6 of the total on record.pic.twitter.com/wcc4EbnepY
