Given Floyd’s size and obvious strength, the officers, like it or not, did the correct thing restraining him. Not clear what the policy is regarding release of restraint. Sounds to me like release is done only after EMT are there.

Floyd went from inside the cop car, then later to the floor, and the witnesses who were filming the incident can be heard saying "he was rolling", meaning Floyd had been resisting arrest for the entire time. How many times had the cops loosened the restraints for him?
