Update on the outbreak of coronavirus among a Baptist church congregation in Frankfurt: Currently 107 confirmed infections, chairwoman in ICU. Congregation claims they adhered to social distancing BUT they performed joint singing without face masks.

Most probably. Having glasses in public places protects eyes from rubbing. Dr Li Wenliang, a Chinese ophthalmologist caring for patients in Wuhan was the first who alerted the public about the pandemic. He had many patients with similar eye infections.

Aha! That makes sense. But whether you're in public or not doesn't matter, does it? The idea is that your own hands are the danger, and glasses hinder you from touching your eyes, a danger even if you've arrived home.

Why not by droplets shooting through the air? Wouldn't rubbing the eyes be a secondary transmission while drops through the air would be a primary transmissio ?
