He didn't actually close travel from China at all. There were still 40k people a day flying in from China AFTER his "travel ban". The "travel bans" were a complete failure at stopping or even slowing down the spread of the virus into the US.

He never closed travel from China. He “banned” Chinese citizens from entry but not if they connected thru another country. Also Italians and Europeans brought the most cases into the US
