Just had a fascinating conversation with my smartest friend who is also anti-Trump. He says he gets his news from CNN, MSNBC and the NY Times. So I tested him to see the quality of his general knowledge on the hydroxychloroquine story.

You lost me at “smartest friend” and “gets his news from cnn, msnbc, and new york times”...🤨 Seems rather diametrically opposed.

Consider that if you had been watching those sources for 10 years, you might not have noticed their switch around 2016 to full-fake news reporting on politics.

Yep, sad, but true. Full disclosure, I’m more of a FNC viewer. However, I try to do something you suggested yrs ago...during commercials, turn to cnn/msnbc to see what they’re focusing on. It’s always a “different movie”. 😉

As a Venezuelan deeply affected by CNN fake news reporting of Venezuela's socialist regime and socialist fake/controlled opposition plot, I can assure you the shift in CNN happened earlier, at least since the 2012 election, if not earlier.

I stopped watching CNN in the 1990s. Stopped Fox News in 2010. I noticed a long time before 2016 & thank goodness!

I don't watch any main stream news. I don't even have cable now. I have tv's in my house everywhere that I don't use. lol Tel a vision is a thing of the past.

Your friend is the total definition of a liberal. Book smart with not a lick of common sense. I know people like that too. When I get to this point with them I tell them they are not getting their news from the right source. And to come back when you actually have all the facts.

Noticed it in 2004 when MSN ignored Alan Keyes' warnings when he jumped into the Senate race after Jack Ryan withdrew due to shady threats and tactics of his highly funded/supported ($14M to $2M) opponent Barack Obama.

I think the switch happened a long time before 2016. Those news outlets didn’t become a bunch of flaming leftist nutballs suddenly in 2016.

It's been biased for a while, but the blatantly fake news probably started in 2013.https://www.commonsenseevaluation.com/2016/11/21/propaganda-on-the-us-public/ …
