How many Americans have died from #coronavirus who were under 60 and also had a "healthy" body weight? I have a strong feeling that political correctness is preventing us from understanding our individual risks, which could keep the economy closed and destroy civilization.

The death data is here, but it only shows about 1300/50,000 deaths having obesity as a contributing factor, which either means I'm reading this wrong or it's super confounding.https://data.cdc.gov/NCHS/Conditions-contributing-to-deaths-involving-corona/hk9y-quqm/data …

Given that two-thirds of all Americans are overweight, seems odd.

In my age group, 7.4 hospitalizations per 100,000, I wonder how many of the 7.4 were a healthy weight. Maybe two?

The UK data is easier to find. 5% of all deaths didn't have a pre-existing condition. https://twitter.com/dogsboro/status/1260467065170931719 … (source: https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/covid-19-daily-deaths …)

Get a grip. Excess deaths are caused by the lockdown. They are not COVID-19. Far more deaths will be caused by lockdown than from COVID-19. Just 238 people under the age of 60 have died with no known pre-existing conditions. pic.twitter.com/nzd9eEDYHt

Sounds not useful if they count all conditions, most of which would have no big impact on survival. We need the big variables.

Of the stories I've read of the Miraculous survival of older people 80+ they looked rather thin So, I'd say they were of proper weight Gov. Cuomo mentioned a NYCPD detective that died of COVID, My age and from the photo was twice my size Very over weight
