The deus ex machina might already be here. Can we let the people with adequate vitamin D levels go back to work now? Tell me why I am wrong. @benshapiro @drdrewpic.twitter.com/zFasvZQvWs

Adequate level for blood draw 25 hydroxyvitamin D are 20-50 ng/ml. What should the threshold be? Or should we lost 1,25 dihydroxy vitamin D?

Does an adequate vitamin D level protect against some of the cytokine storm we're seeing with COVID-19? I don't know. I just haven't seen any vitamin D levels in the 40's or higher yet on ANY patient I've admitted with it. I'd be interested to see if others are seeing the same

They would seem to be the perfect place to start testing and treating vitamin D levels right now!

I understand it is very hard to raise Vitamin D levels even with drugs.

My levels built up from 7ng/ml to 50ng/ml in 2 or 3 months with 50,000 units a week, the common recommended schedule when you're low. My functional medicine type doctor recommends 30K a day for 3 days, then 10K a day until levels are good for his patients whose levels are low.

You mean the uninformed? Everyone I've informed has run out to take or make vitamin D, and I'm not usually that persuasive. The 10X less death thing must help. I am more sure about reading gap, than D gap, have persuaded way less people...I need some kind of 10X death line.

2/3 of all kids, 80% of black kids aren't reading at grade level...everyone assumes it's not their kid, I test & give levels at their school, give them my free grade level test...should be easier.
