The deus ex machina might already be here. Can we let the people with adequate vitamin D levels go back to work now? Tell me why I am wrong.

My levels built up from 7ng/ml to 50ng/ml in 2 or 3 months with 50,000 units a week, the common recommended schedule when you're low. My functional medicine type doctor recommends 30K a day for 3 days, then 10K a day until levels are good for his patients whose levels are low.
When my levels were low, I found a lot of things online about people who had built up their levels from very low--it took a while to build up for most, all eventually built up to good levels, most felt less fatigued in the next several months to a year after reaching good levels.
People who built up levels in summer did seem to rebound quicker, I don't have stats or anything on that, just a general impression.
I had already been supplementing Vitamin D when my doctor told me mine was low. I doubt people realize how low their levels are, even when being active with a good diet and spending time out doors.
I'm 70 yrs old. I've been taking 10,000 IU of vitamin D daily for the past 6 years. I have 2 to 4 blood tests per year, and my levels of D have varied between 50 and 80 ng/ml, right within the 30-to-100 reference range. So I'm glad to see the correlation with COVID-19 protection.
You do sound perfectly correlated!!
I live in the Pacific Northwest. I’m chronically low on vit D even with supplementation. It’s frustrating!
I have to take 30,000 units a week in the winter to keep my summer levels. It varies by individual. My husband keeps good winter levels with 2,000 units a day. Maybe try adding cod liver oil or salmon? Can you fish there right now? My dad was so mad when fishing was closed.
