The deus ex machina might already be here. Can we let the people with adequate vitamin D levels go back to work now? Tell me why I am wrong.

Is it just me or did I miss the part where Dr Drew told you why or where you were wrong or did he just say words?
You'll just see words if you don't actually read it. Common problem.
As you said yourself this morning, having a Vitamin D deficit is associated with all kinds of illnesses and conditions. So it's hard to distinguish whether it's the illness itself that makes coronavirus worse for these patients or the Vitamin D deficit in addition.
In this case it's not hard to distinguish because there's a direct relationship between Vitamin D status and the amount of ACE2 expressed in epithelial tissues. This is specifically relevant to COVID-19 because the SARS-CoV-2 virus binds to ACE2 to infect. https://twitter.com/TrevorSutcliffe/status/1251583984036790272?s=20 …pic.twitter.com/wJHgzlNQBV
You can figure this out quickly by comparing White People (lighter the skin tone = more vitamin D absorbed) performance against #COVID19 in colder places vs warmer places.
This would be fantastic news if proves to be true... but I also doubt some want a such a deus ex machina. But I for one will be working on my tan this weekend!
But...it is only anecdotal, right? Hydroxychloroquine is in this situation. Every story is positive but we are told it is garbage information and we need a controlled study inclusive of placebo patients before it can be trusted. How is vitamin D any different?
