It appears your "unity" effort is based around progressive/socialist principles. Am I missing something?

Yes! We're not progressive or socialist! Many of us individually are progressive of course but probably not most of us. We are cross-partisan and I'm a Republican myself. But I would like to know what gives you that impression.

Ah I see. That has nothing to do with us, beyond the fact that we use their software to integrate web and email functions. They had the best product at the best price! But Action Networks politics have nothing to do with our mission.

No our philosophy is that liberty and equal opportunity are only safe guarded by societies that take seriously the ethics that allow for community to exist. The values that lead us to help each other in difficulty should inform the culture of politics. A la Tocqueville & King.

I agree with that. The devil is in the details of the ethics. I'm quite familiar with the ethics of Liberty. As well as the history of subversive movements.

Except Lincoln destroyed liberty and got 700,000 Americans killed in the process. He was a tyrant.
