Foolishness can be monstrous when you don't heed the wisdom of others and use your power in ways that harm. E.g. parents abusing children by keeping them from proven medicines despite what doctors have said. Their intentions might be benevolent but morality is more than intent.

Why don’t you tell me your preferred plan and how it differs from mine. Include estimated deaths please.

Stay home orders lifted once we deploy public health systems able to test, contact trace, and support those in isolation/quarantine. Estimated US deaths in the hundreds. What is yours? Is it still, uh, this?https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1251907216191262725 …

Okay, I see the problem. You believe Trump that testing is coming soon enough. There is no evidence of that, only evidence of the opposite. I once believed that bullshit too.

It’s not about believing Trump. He’s not the only source of testing. Where are getting this from? Which local or state government officials are you speaking with? Is Dilbert-making your only credential here? Is tweeting your only relevant experience?

Do you have a source that says we will have enough tests to test our way out? I have only seen the opposite, such as Bill Gates saying we are nowhere near and not heading in the right direction quickly.

We wasted April but we could have enough tests now. Will we waste May?

You're where I was a week ago, when I was believing they could ramp up testing quickly (in a few months). Bill Gates called bullshit on that recently. We won't even get close to the test kit numbers we need to test our way out. No expert will claim otherwise WITH NUMBERS.

I will defer to your medical opinions, but I'd ask you to defer to my ability to call bullshit on management overclaims. (I have some experience there.) There is no plan in place to get the quantity of testing we need to test our way out. Probably a year away from that.

That’s a bold and unsubstantiated claim. I am unconvinced. I hope your followers are free thinking people.

The ones who read my books teaching them to spot bullshit of exactly this type tend to be free thinkers. Do we agree that your claim of soon-to-be-sufficient testing has no basis? I will change my mind immediately upon seeing a source that backs you. I want you to be right.
