I read the 1619 Project. The essays were compelling. But much of history was fake, as established by even-left wing historians. The 1619 Project was just given the highest award in journalism - the Pulitzer Prize. This is why hits on Trump for lying don't land.

It’s probably worse than meaningless but nowhere near as bad as a Nobel peace prize

Ah, the Nobel Peace Prize. People on the left are delighted to be in the company of Kissinger. People on the right are glad to join Yasser Arafat. And people who have real achievements have to share a list with Barack Obama, awarded for his future achievements... that never came.

I used to think the Hugo Award was a big deal until I learned that anyone with a medium-sized blog audience could rig it. Probably all "awards" are this way.

I won the top award in cartooning because I got a lot of publicity compared to other cartoonists and because the better cartoonists had already won it and the organization didn't like to repeat. Meaningless.

Then add the all the political BS that goes with it, and the Pulitzer is right up there with the grammys, and Oscars. What a farce they all are.
