Does anyone have any information on how the front line healthcare workers who have been taking hydroxychloroquine prophylactically are doing? Has even one of them gotten the virus? And if so, did it require hospitalization?

Scott, check out the study of 65k lupus patients in Italy who were on HCQ. Only 20 contracted the disease.

I would also be curious how many have been taking the drug as a prophylactic quietly?. Have heard some Drs were as a precaution after the French study. Many politicians don’t seem overly concerned when they are out & about without masks or social distancing.

@jeremyfaust! my sister has Sjögren's syndrome, availability of hydroxyquinone has been very spotty and limited due to all the xxxxxxx 'helpful people' who are flogging it, cherry-picking trials, promoting quacks, etc. a big two thumbs down to all of them.

There are many reports of this, yes. I’ll be clear without violating anyone’s privacy. We’ve heard some doctors took hydroxychloroquine in an attempt to prophylax and some of those docs got the virus. Were their rates of infection (adjusted for risk) were

Would you join Scott on one of his Periscopes to give your observations about hydroxychloroquine in more detail (if Scott would like to have you on - but I think he would)?

To see if people who take hydroxychloroquine regularly have had Corona Virus-9. Can’t we review areas around the world who take this drug regularly for malaria & lupus? As well as, for the people in the US that take it for lupus only as well?
-
Chloroquine isn't the first drug of choice against malaria anymore, neither in Africa nor in India (e.g. it has been replaced in India's national malaria drug policy in the late 2000s: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4001331/ …). Lupus patients might have additional distinct characteristics.

Patients with lupus, arthritis, other conditions are *already* on hydroxychloroquine.
And we are diagnosing them with covid19 *LEFT AND RIGHT*
If it does work, it‘s not as good as you hope it is.
And don’t give me any flimsy “resistance” excuses.
STUDY THE DRUGS!
