you can squelch ideas by squelching voices. We don't know for sure, because shadow banning makes ideas seem like they died on their own.

For example, not selling or buying this as correct. But I'm very suspicious about an alleged heel turn in the public on Gay Marriage in a few years. I believe SV shadow banned Gay Marriage Opposition and convinced opponents they were the minority and silenced most of them.

Good ideas are hard to stop - however, there is still tremendous personal risk of banning for the 'early adopters' of the good idea. No idea should risk your seat at the table, because we can't tell which ones are good or bad right away.
