Most of the stage is in a shadow from a building behind it. The guy on the right is the only one getting a stream of direct sunlight. Watch the video as they walk away. Could be old footage for all I know but the shadows in the photo are finepic.twitter.com/dt4cIPvrXQ

As an animation art director constantly trying to maintain light direction from different lighters I can tell you thats as much as you think you know what the lighting direction should be, it will always surprise you. Thats why we cheat so much in film. To make it look right.
