Never forget that more than 50,000 Americans die in a NORMAL week. This pandemic is a 2% increase in deaths for the year, many or most who would have died soon anyway due to age and illness.

Article says there are 49000 (lower than 2019) deaths for week 14. I went to the CDC site and downloaded the data and it says already 60000 deaths (higher than 2019). I think there is a lag and the data is being updated. Weeks 15/16 is very low but this is due to the lag.
