If several studies show around a 0.12 mortality rate what would justify extended shut downs? https://twitter.com/ellencarmichael/status/1254024060406837248 …

Problem is that herd inmunity might not work.. we still dont know how long this inmunity last... so 36 million every time?

#Hi#ImMrMeseeks#LookAtMe There’s a lot wrong with your tweet: -Presumptions about ineffectiveness if immunity -It only effects the high risk -36 million is not .12 of 350 million - Show replies

Suppose herd immunity at 70%. 70% of 330 million is 231 million. 0.12% of 231 million is 277,200. Still a lot but a lot less than 30 million. Moreover, viral load matters for disease severity. Viral load typically a lot less in open air + sunlight, so death rate likely lower.

Also, what's the alternative?
