There's a massive IQ test on the Internet today. If you think the president was asking Dr. Birx about injecting bleach or isopropyl alcohol into coronavirus patients -- because it sounded that way to you -- you failed the test.https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1253639070837694464 …

““And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute — one minute — and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside.” Disinfectant. Injection inside. I can't imagine how many vertebrae you’ve snapped trying to reason out of this.

Light = disinfectant, which was the context. Injection is a layperson's word for inserting a ventilator-type device with far-UV technology into the patient's trachea. Is this the part where you blame me for you not knowing this fact? It has been in the news.

People do not think of light as a disinfectant. Some professionals in niche contexts can, but that is not a thing in an everyday person's lexicon. He even started the statement separating it from the light conversation. “***And then*** I see the disinfectant”

Google "sunlight is the best disinfectant" and then learn how to read things in context.

Companies who make disinfectants have had to issue press releases telling people not to use their products this way. The white house's own COVID team had to issue a statement. States are telling their citizens not to do this. No one read this as sunlight. No one.

Wouldn't it have been great if the press reported it correctly? That could have saved lives. I mean, most of his supporters understood it the first time. But I know his critics believe fake news, so yes, he should have been more clear for your crowd.

This isn't a press thing, it came straight from a televised white house briefing.

That...the...press...covered...which...is...why....you...know...it happened. They covered it wrong, perhaps killing people in the process. His base knew what he meant (mostly), so the press should have sussed it out too. I mean, it is kinda obvious.

People did not get the idea that "he told us to drink lysol" from any press. People got it from watching the president's own face and mouth say “disinfectant" and “inject.”

Yes, the people who are not good at reading comprehension because of TDS were confused by a statement that was not sufficiently clear. TDS is dangerous.

He already said the statement was unclear. The point is that smart ppl can still interpret the meaning.
