There's a massive IQ test on the Internet today. If you think the president was asking Dr. Birx about injecting bleach or isopropyl alcohol into coronavirus patients -- because it sounded that way to you -- you failed the test.https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1253639070837694464 …

Nope. Just the MSM doing its job by quoting Trump out of context or printing a "quote" from Trump by what they think he meant, rather than what he actually said. He uses these at his rallies and says, "Why do they have to lie about what I said?" And it works. Media, do your job.

Seriously, dude, you think he said to eat the sun? Is that what you really believe? You can’t be that gullible.

More than once, he's used ambiguous language to draw out the critics on purpose. It's not the Streisand Effect, but accomplishes a similar goal.

To an extent I agree with you. I think he was musing out loud and winging it. However, he's supposed to be a leader/commander in chief...and there are plenty of fools who will act on his ill considered words. He has a responsibility to speak clearly.

Trump supporters take him seriously, not literally. The Media takes him literally, but not seriously. It become annoying as you find yourself constantly having to say, "what he actually said was...." because the media need to twist his words because "Orange Man Bad".
