All the dumbest people think this really happened. This is remarkable.https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/04/trump-actually-suggests-injecting-disinfectants-could-cure-coronavirus …

“He didn’t say injecting disinfectant would help, he only asked if it would help and said ‘maybe it would, maybe it wouldn’t’” is one heck of a defence. Some people might say it’s a dumb defence that only the dumbest people would use.

He didn't do that either. "Injecting" referred to the light idea. He was circling back to that point.

This is absolutely incorrect. Trump had heard about disinfectants quickly killing the virus on surfaces and mused whether this could be done inside human bodies. It's unambiguous. At the most generous interpretation, he expressed the naive thought processes of a small child.

You could be right. He could think that. He also could have been trying to explain something that had been discussed with him by Dr's and fumbled the explanation. But I guess it's more likely that he thinks you should inject Lysol into your blood stream.

You are saying this is an incorrect quote: “I see disinfectant, where it knocks [coronavirus] out in a minute—one minute—and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning,”

Here’s video as well. He talks about the light stuff (which is also crazy), then shifts to disinfectant, which is where he asks about injecting it. https://twitter.com/daniel_lewis3/status/1253482576699969537?s=21 …https://twitter.com/Daniel_Lewis3/status/1253482576699969537 …

In William Bryan’s summary of the study, HE used the word “inject” as in something along the lines of “... when we inject... Solar... UV...” - and ... there is an actual patent filed for such a device. Maybe a press w/listening “skills” rather than entrapment would have heard?

Someone should advise Trump to let the doctors speak about the “details” of possible treatments and not wonder out loud. Hard to spin this one. Sounded like a fool.
