Why do so many conservatives evaluate the future size of a problem that is growing daily by how it looks today? Same with #Coronavirus. Explain in comments please.https://twitter.com/prageru/status/1253008916880830464 …

Did you know? In the last 80 years, CO2 emissions have rapidly escalated. However, the annual rate of climate-related deaths worldwide has rapidly declined by 98%. Don't believe the climate change doomsday narrative. #EarthDay #EarthDay50

Because atmospheric CO2 concentration doesn’t control the earth’s climate or temperature.

I agree, but that's not the point of Scott's question. The Q, which is fair, is why not get ahead of a problem. In both instances (CO2 & C19), doomsday narrative by elite rule logic. Unfortunately @prageru wrote a misguided tweet here. His focus should be more like @AlexEpstein's

Everything looks good today so tomorrow there won't be a problem. If weathermen did this they'd be fired.

But they've been saying this same message for 40 years or more and their predictions never happen. At some point you have to say why are we listening to these charlatans?

.Scott: I am an atmospheric scientist. I am not skeptical that global warming is a problem. We are extremely skeptical of the ‘solutions.” See: http://www.mikesmithenterprisesblog.com/2020/04/playing-pretend.html … We need nuclear to solve GW. Let’s stop pretending.

Obvious near term solution to AGW is to decommission all coal fired power plants and commission new safer nuclear plants-->decommission the old, more dangerous nuclear plants-->Then ramp up renewables and take nukes offline as possible-->plus obviously electric transport.

Agreed, Earth has undergone extreme climate changes (numerous ice ages for instance) over its life to assert that what we’re experiencing MUST be caused by humans seems quite narcissistic. That said we may have a negative effect and I’m all for researching our effects.
