Odd detail that knowing how the medication works should preclude it by default on late stage patients. It does not attack the virus, but prevents the spread of the virus through the cells, preventing it from replication. So, if a significant number of cells are infected

Paper from 2010 on SARS coronavirus identifies Zn+ as being essential for disrupting the virus replication. The ion needs a gate to enter the cell which explains why both treatments need to be used. But Brian Stelter....

The Study. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.16.20065920v1.full.pdf … Patients were selected on the basis of their exposure to HC alone or with AZ as treatments in addition to standard supportive management for COVID19. There is not mention of Zinc in the entire paper!

Given the mention of zinc as a critical part of the treatment regime as used by teh French group, and about our knowledge of the mode of action of HC and Zinc the lack of mention of zinc in this study is remarkably inept.
