Good point. Your neighbor should be OK, but then who takes his waiter job and how much does his replacement make? Will we have to pay more to eat out? Life could be difficult for some while we are adjusting to a Made-in-the-USA world. We may need to issue a lot more food stamps.

On a macro scale, we should be buying USA. But when Joe Consumer is in the store comparing two refrigerators, the expensive one made in the USA, he is more likely to walk out the door with the Korean one that saves him enough money to buy his family dinner for a month.

Exactly. And let's not forget automation. We just need to make sure that the newly built automated factories are in the US and not in China or Vietnam. And we can assure that by raising taxes on ALL imports from ALL countries until these factories relocate here.
