If the president's advisory group for reopening the economy had the following experts, which one would you want to synthesize the group's opinions into a coherent proposal? Doctor Scientist Engineer Politician Lawyer CEO Economist Entrepreneur Psychologist Theologian

The correct answer is engineer, because they are trained to design complex systems that balance priorities, and to hold that complexity in their minds with minimal bias. They are also capable of understanding the other experts while avoiding #loserthink.

I don't think you can be trained for a more complex system and priority balancing than a doctor.

It used to be my job as a banker to give business loans to doctors as a special focus. They were considered among the worst credit risks because they are financially incompetent as a group.

I’ve made an entire career out of doctors being bad at business. They’re the smartest people in the room, but more often than not their confidence exceeds their knowledge on the business side of it.

Can confirm. Worked in investments for 20+ years. Doctors were the WORST clients bc they didn’t understand anything about money, but were sure they’re smarter than you. Made leading them to the best option very difficult, and they’d blame you when they didn’t follow your guidance

In college I worked for FirstUSA Credit Cards. A Dr, calls in and asks for raise in credit line, which never works, but I ran it for him, it failed. He gets angry, we tussle, AND A STOCK BROKER gets on saying he needed the credit to buy stocks with. Dr’s are people too...😂
