Based on what we now understand about #coronavirus, it seems clear to me the consensus of opinion in the country is that losing a few hundred thousand people (or fewer if we are clever) is an acceptable price for reopening the economy. I'm in a higher risk category and agree.

I doubt people would judge anything by the numbers alone. The only metric that matters will be whether any hospitals are being overrun. If so the deal is off. If not, we power through. The only thing the country will not stand for are deaths for lack of ICU beds.

To be even more cruel (only in my mind but not with what I would do if in charge) - 90% of your medical expenses are in the last 10% of your life - - speed up that last 10% super fast and save your family a lot of money too Helps hospitals in long run too Awful, right?

This is a reasonable statement. Here is another one: Hydroxychloroquine made available over the counter with a video visit consult from a doctor, nurse or registered pharmacist, in conjunction with a full reopening of the economy.
