Why are we given access to only one IHME model, the one that assumes social distancing through the end of May? Why not look at different projections based on different termination dates for social distancing?

This is frustrating. We have exceedingly accurate models for things like acceleration of an object due to gravitational pull. The more variables and fewer data points involved, the less reliable it is, so complex models like the one discussed isn’t as accurate.

Predicting terminal velocity of an object isn’t ‘fortune telling’. Neither is epidemiological modeling.

Not really. Climate models are much more accurate because the data is more prevalent, reliable, and wide-ranging. Plus we have historic records of previous events to corroborate.
