NYC is 2.6% of the population of the United States and they have 7,076 #coronavirus deaths so far. If the rest of the country were no more successful at avoiding deaths than NYC, what would be the national death toll?

India is way more population dense than America and only has a few hundred deaths. However they are telling us this virus is being spread is wrong
-
India is a much warmer country. So far, the virus is spreading fastest in cooler climates.

NYC was extremely lax about the virus.. very few people paid heed to social distancing and almost no one wore masks. Even in March. Leadership downplayed risk massively. March 2nd the Mayor told people to go to the theater despite the virus on twitter on his personal account.
-
Cuomo also downplayed risk early March. He was about just keeping people calm until it was way too late. When the WHO stated fatality rate was 3.4% he said he would stick to facts.. then underreported the WHO fatality rate as 1.4%.. getting even the most fundamental fact wrong

Not exactly. Slower spreads of virus in less dense areas allows time for infected people to heal resulting in a lower infection rate. Cheyenne, WY may reach 2.6%, but it would take 5 years.
-
We can't social distance for 5 years...
