Prediction models are built to persuade the public toward expert consensus. They are not snapshots of the future. Debating the accuracy of models misses the point of them. #coronavirus

Great to see
@ScottAdamsSays on-board. The models haves never been about "science" as much as persuasion. The "experts" touting the models have been successful by taking the high ground and avoiding silly details down in the weeds. -
Silly details like whether 3 million or 50k Americans would die.

Very poorly may I add. Honestly, the real argument isn’t about the accuracy of the models, because they are all over the place, but whether or not the policymakers chose the right model to base their solutions on. And of course they went with the most absurd projections.

They pursuaded the sheep. Many people that are reluctant to allow government make choices for us were proven right. Gov will lie to control you. You’re on a need to know basis. That’s not liberty. That’s not constitutional.

Forgive the snark, but all this time I've been looking at short term weather predictions all wrong. They are just meant to persuade me, the viewer, it's going to be sunny tomorrow. Whether or not it rains doesn't matter.

If wrong models drive policy we get, you know, wrong policy.

I assume you're just being sloppy in your wording here. Of COURSE models can be wrong. There can be errors in the underlying mathematics, etc.
