🚨3 trillion dollar bailout later and our civil rights and privileges were smashed. The debt has to be paid and our rights ain't coming. FOR NOTHING

Prologue: i never argued against pandemic prophylactic response I argued lack of economic models commensurate w/trillions $ shutdown. And, that we've seen imperfect data extrapolated to where it showed disaster by failing to count all of 'this' and exaggerating all of 'that'

You want a model of the sort no one should trust? I'm in favor of directionally-okay models that are imperfect, but no one is smart enough to model THIS situation. Too many unknowns, too many variables.

"...no international standard method for attributing or recording causes of death... most respiratory deaths never have a specific infective cause recorded, whereas at the moment one can expect all positive Covid-19 results associated with a death to be recorded...

(continued) ...this is not splitting hairs. Imagine a population where more and more of us have already had Covid-19, and where every ill and dying patient is tested for the virus. The deaths apparently due to Covid-19, the Covid trajectory, will approach the overall death rate.

You make my point for me. We can't model with information that is not available. Everyone wants that information to be available. It isn't, and probably won't be.

Average daily deaths at hospitals should be available somewhere. As hospitals report their numbers they could easily report last years numbers or a multi year average

And in some cases we don’t even know that. Many counties in AZ are not even tracking hospitalizations/ICU visits, and the biggest one is tracking only cumulative, not current #s vs capacity. It’s maddening considering this is why we are supposedly doing the restrictions.

I don't think we have been in disagreement. We both have genuine compassion and wanted to create/enhance structures for current/future utility Perhaps our difference is that i had been expecting a power roll-up & militarization of police, i felt certain this facilitated that

Part of my problem with the press is that they either try to destroy someone or, in the case of Fauci, elevate him into some sort of infallible, Olympian figure. It's like they're trying to box in POTUS, make it impossible for him to deviate from Fauci's recommendations.
