I don't think the details really matter. It's the transparency that matters. Since any numbers they give are guesses, forecasts, and models, they will definetly change as time goes by. Scott knows the White House hears what he says, so he is telling them... publicly.

If Scott is trying to tell me that the general public needs to believe that they can second-guess the Administration, by hearing, and believing, the impossibly dense "press" tell us that the numbers are good, he might be right. I'm a network technician, not a Dr. of persuasion
