What's the #coronavirus death rate for people who have mild asthma but are otherwise fit? Seems like we should have some visibility on the sub-categories by now.

HTN isn't really a risk - shouldn't be It only is a problem if you have long term and contributes getting other serious risk - like coronary artery atherosclerosis (CAD) Diabetes IS a risk - - high sugars seem to make the virus much worse

Although anecdotal, thousands of reviews of people eliminating their COPD/Asthma inhalers with this: https://amzn.to/3dNKmmx  and soothed my lungs after recent 'cold'.

I have emphysema and chronic bronchitis. I used the saline tubes for nebulizer 4xs a day like albuterol treatments. Nothing... Go to beach or within 10 miles of salt air where I'm constantly breathing salt air and in two days i can breath like i could 10 years ago.

@cameronks it behaves like HAPE because hypoxia is FIRST. Hemoglobin is being deoxygenated by the virus FIRST and the lungs respond as if they are hypoxic (vasoc > pulm htn etc). @emcrit @PulmCrit @EMNerd_ https://chemrxiv.org/articles/COVID-19_Disease_ORF8_and_Surface_Glycoprotein_Inhibit_Heme_Metabolism_by_Binding_to_Porphyrin/11938173 …

While asthma may differ from patient to patient - you should consider yourself at higher risk of a severe respiratory complication with Covid-19 The virus will trigger the asthmatic's lungs to become hyper-inflamed more than non-asthmatic - even if asthma well controlled prior
