What's the #coronavirus death rate for people who have mild asthma but are otherwise fit? Seems like we should have some visibility on the sub-categories by now.

I am not sure I have seen any data pointing out to "fit" helping. Is "fit" even a medically defined condition?

Fit as in not overweight and with normal cardiovascular health.

Anecdotally, I know one patient who fits that criteria. Currently in a coma.

Do we have to completely discount all stats coming from NYC? And focus on the rest of the country. NYC seems to be an outlier

I'm wondering if NYC is so bad because they are all sitting in their tiny apartments, windows shut, many people in one unit, and they are all breathing in the same air, day in, day out. If one person gets infected, the viral load passed on to the others gets large.

I think it means Severe asthma would be an issue. If like me she operates daily barely noticing, the risk is likely v v low.

I guess in that case we're looking at "with mild Asthma and no other pre existing condition". I may be wrong but I'd guess you'll need to have 100K or a 1M patients to start to have enough statistical datas. Niches are hard to assess.

without enough cases it seems the answer is “EVERYONE DIES!” easier to control panicked people who beg the government to further lock down everyone who isn’t so afraid 😞😞😞

I have a friend who is super fit and she had this. Said she came very close to having to go to the ER while she struggled with it. So it might just end up being luck?? 🤷‍♀️ I have mild asthma and am scared to get it.

Not everyone overweight has overall bad health. I am a fatty and have normal blood sugar, cholesterol is well within normal range, BP and lungs are good. I know I need to lose weight, but being fat/not fat isnt a 100% indicator of health.

When 80% of the US population is overweight it is going to take a while to get that sample
