Doctors suspect hydroxychloroquine+Azythromicin might work best if taken before infection, or early on. But I'll bet the drug trials are only for patients with more advanced infections. My logic here is that it would be the dumbest thing we could do, so. . . probably.

I do have a medical spouse :-) sorry and she's encouraged by every possible solution, at the same time respect the need to test for side effects that could be very bad. Taking it away from people who suffer from those conditions however... Also bad

I agree with that non-emergency strategy. But we won't have long term studies in this case.

I take it for RA. The doses they are talking about are not extreme.

I have a medical brother, mother and step father. We need to implement the Zelenko protocol now. This would severely reduce our need for ICU's and in patient beds. 700 patients in some of the most difficult environments can't be wrong.

Triage kicks in when we don’t have enough for everyone. That means we save the most that we can with what we have. My understanding is there are trials in early infection, prophylactic use, and severe illness. I can’t get it and I take care of the hospital staff. /1

/2 We don’t have enough to give to Docs and Nurses taking care of COVID patients prophylactically. When we have enough, everyone will probably get it if it works as well as I am hearing. Social distancing failures today, are admissions to the Hospital next week. Stay healthy now.

Even if doctors aren’t prescribing, it’s used in almost all malaria research as a control drug
