@ScottAdamsSays @naval What is the safest way to get groceries? Thinking ordering online, but have to assume grocery packets are infected. Has any company got a good system?

Science says you can get the virus from surfaces. But science also says there are no confirmed cases of it actually being spread that way, nor from food so far as I know. Also, if you did get from a bag, it would be a small viral load, so recovery is easier.

Solution is to use disinfect all the products B4 bringing them in the house. https://www.verywellhealth.com/make-your-own-disinfectant-solution-998274 … I do this to everything that comes in my home now. 3 at-risk folks here. Reasonable mitigation strategies all can do.

Something new I noticed in stores yesterday was people bringing their own boxes to shop, avoiding touching carts and baskets entirely, as well as reusable bags.

We don't know that we don't know from the surfaces. Not all confirmed cases of COVID-19 can be contact traced. People who test positive are saying they haven't been in contact with known people who travelled from Wuhan or Europe. Contact tracing isn't helping.

How about using UV light? The Chinese are using to disinfect busses. Only takes a few seconds of uv light to damage viruses. I’m designing and building a large box for deliveries that will zap them.

In a lab setting, we used UV cabinets to flood goggles and other PPE with UV. Standard lab procedure is a 15 min exposure to UV. It's a cabinet with UV lights on all 6 interior sides.

if the sun’s uv rays and heat can kill it on surfaces fairly quickly, i wonder what the freezer will do?
