Unlike any prior flu, we expect this one to crash our healthcare system and our economy. Comparing apples and oranges could kill millions if we adopt this defective way of thinking. https://twitter.com/mitchellvii/status/1237722980974723072 …

Within the first 2 months of H1N1 it had already infected over 30,000 people in the US. Within the first 2 months of COVID, it’s 1000. Aren’t you overreacting a bit?

That's the low-information take. Each of the viruses has a different curve. Not comparable. See Italy and Iran. Already crashed those systems whereas other flu did not. We don't have to as IF when it is already happening in other countries.

This also explains why the US has been helpless to prevent the spread of Vespa scooters and Islamic law.

The point is, hospitals will be swamped if corona spreads quickly, with critical treatment unavailable. Then, the death rate will be 4%. Italy is living this now. 2-> end

There were hospitals running out of ventilators, with critical patients being kept in post-anesthesia care units and ORs, during H1N1. 12,000+ died in the US. Our healthcare system has more experience with this type of crisis than you give it credit.
