Face masks don't work, so please stop hoarding them or else medical professionals will not have access to the stuff that doesn't work.

I have no objections to an honest comparison of the odds. That isn't what we are getting.

If masks are already in the physical stores are people just not going to buy them because the professionals need them? No. Instead of lecturing the public the cdc/ surgeon general need to be talking directly to the manufacturers, distributors, and divert supplies.

No, Scott, they increase the risk to the non-professional wearer, who doesn’t know how to fit or test the fit properly, doesn’t know when and how to use them, but is given a false sense of security putting them at greater risk of infection. Trust me, I was an EMT for years.

Agree
The ONLY masks that prevent contagious spread are N95 masks, they MUST be FITTED properly&are notoriously uncomfortable to wear. Masks we are seeing ONLY help by preventing people wearing them from touching their nose or mouth. Nothing to do w/spread by coughing etc.

Campaign to get people to 'donate' what they purchased so that gen public is disarmed from wearing, therefore can't induce 'panic' in others. But because these "donated" supplies aren't medical grade or packaged right (deemed unsanitary), will be trashed?
