What do China, Iran, South Korea, and Italy have in common besides the worst #Coronavirus outbreaks? They also have the worst air quality. Does pollution carry an airborne virus farther?

I would sooner think it has to do with population density and good governance, both of which probably correlate to air quality in any event. :-)

Not only get a foothold, but also run its course. You can't talk about a death rate unless you can also meaningfully talk about the survival rate. And you can't talk about a survival rate until most people who became symptomatic got over it.

So reports say the virus has been spreading in the USA for 1 1/2 months, combined with China saying ppl sick with a ‘mystery flu’ before they started locking down cities a month ago, we’ll well pass the 1st quarter of this ballgame.

A great many countries with worse air quality are nowhere on map of the coronavirus as of now. And poor air quality, in any event, might have to do with poor governance (and crisis management, by extension)
