Anyone wanting to move more quickly towards carbon neutrality, but does not include nuclear energy in their plan, is pushing ideological talking points instead of urgently pursuing that necessary goal. Wind and solar energy alone will not get us there quickly enough.

Errr... I disagree with your framing. One group knows, the other is just confused. It can be said the loudest and most publicized scientists know CO2 causes warming. Others “know” it doesn’t, but they are scientists who know we should always question. Is that fair?

Neither knows. But one side has the majority weight of science on their side. If we were talking about projection models, I'd be as skeptical as you. But I think scientists have a good grasp on what happens when you add a gas to a system.
