Anyone wanting to move more quickly towards carbon neutrality, but does not include nuclear energy in their plan, is pushing ideological talking points instead of urgently pursuing that necessary goal. Wind and solar energy alone will not get us there quickly enough.

‚Carbon neutrality‘ is braindead ideology-speak. MORE CO2 in the air would be better (plant ferfilizer).

That’s the worst take on climate. Assumes no upper limit on the goodness.

"Carbon Neutral" simply means you can keep emitting as long as you buy your indulgences from your local carbon trader.

It's a guilt cult. In the dark ages the catholic church offered the sinners a similar solution.

What’s the upper limit on plant life? Are we remotely anywhere near that?

Most agricultural plants evolved in a environment with over 1000 ppm CO2. Currently we are at ~400 ppm. Plants are starving. In your average classroom you have 1000 - 2000 ppm.

The forecast peak (within the next 100 years) is 500-550 PPM, still reasonable numbers (highest 8000 PPM). Based on that we can assume goodness as the outcome. Now pollution and plastics in the oceans is another topic...

Does anyone know what the right ratio is and is and is it the same everywhere in the world? I don't think so.

There is a range with upsides and downsides. CO2 below 180ppm and plants die. Currently ~400 ppm in Hawaii and 1000-2000 in your av. classroom. Most of geological history we were at 800 - 5000 ppm.

More CO2 is good ≠ no upper limit. There is an upper limit to almost everything. 400 ppm is very low geologically. The warming potential of CO2 is limited. T(CO2) is a logarithmic function.

As history proves their is no upper limit on goodness as CO2 is not an issue. It’s the straw man of the whole charade.
