If you are a legal gun owner, would it be legal to attach that gun to your own drone and use it to provide security for your property? Summary: Will "flying guns" be legal under current U.S. laws?

You can't put a gun on a drone. I doubt the FAA will interpret "can I put a drone on a gun?" any differently. DARPA, on the other hand, may want to compare notes.

Eyes higher than your own by a lot and indirect fire like a thrown rock or even a javelin over the wall might fly. Fixed weapons on a wall and physical string still no. Lethal force to protect property is not legal except military ordinance (nuclear devices for sure).

Yes. The ATF and FAA (and every other http://fed.gov agency) always win semantic arguments in courts of law. Even when they ultimately lose the case, they win-- the process is the punishment.

Everything can be built, EXCEPT for the serialized part, the "frame". Barrels, triggers, drones, etc all assembled together, but as soon as you put the frame on it, it's illegal.

No need. Drone acts as a scout. Modern fire control technology can allow even a minimally trained person to get first time hits at 1500 yards with a properly equipped rifle.https://www.tracking-point.com/
