Scott, you discussed the other day that something like 1 out of 5 Dems won't hire a Trump voter. And it's probably higher than that. So I think many people have good reason to be anonymous.

I read this as: "How to cut yourself off from your audience". What makes Twitter worthwhile is that it isn't just reading or viewing. Without the potential for commenting and interaction it loses a large part of its value to the users. I wouldn't bother following any longer.

You would barely notice a difference. Even I wouldn't ban anonymous accounts from commenting on most of my tweets. Only the tweets that attracted the troll armies.

How does one determine if a person is anonymous? You mean non-blue checkmark? Twitter doesn't give those out very fairly...

Easy. Have Twitter offer up a personal verification option for a nominal ($10?) fee. Use a different icon for those users. Boost the bottom line a bit.
