“I want to believe…that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected" either indicates an unprofessional political bias or draws a conclusion before an investigation. Also, their communications contains proof of an affair they didn't want their spouses to know about, so they were sloppy.

It is just as reasonable to posit that Lisa thought Trump was bad for the country, in terms of policy, and that if he was elected, she thought it would be extra "cool" to bring up damaging information on him.
