“San Francisco has the highest rates of drug overdose deaths — about 23 per 100,000 in 2018”
Anyone dealing fentanyl should be held on attempted murder charges. Time to lock up dealers and stop the catch and release!

No, it would not. Legalizing all drugs, including fentanyl, would simply mean the street dealers would have free reign to push their products without penalty. Most people don't want to pay the taxes and fees associated with legalization. They return to the corner. 1/2

You can look at issues in Oregon, Canada and even California. They overstated how much legal marijuana would be purchased. They're having to burn and throw out tons of it, because most are still buying from local dealers and in SF from the "Hondos" in the TLoin. 2/2

Oh, and one last thing, dealers want you to be their client. They'll lace it as they see fit, or make it strong to entice buyers who want harder and harder stuff. Growing up with an addict and getting exposed to them as you age, you'll understand the mind of drug users very well.

No, it won’t. Heroin is already pretty legal in SF — if not everywhere else in CA. Pot is officially legal, but the black market is thriving. Why is it not a criminal offense to give another human being potentially lethal drugs?
