At Thanksgiving, when your family argues that the Perfect Phone Call (TM) was bribery, try this response and wait for crickets: "Much of the U.S. Public wanted to know about the Bidens and Burisma, so the president was doing his job. He is allowed to benefit from good work."

What percentage of the “U.S. public” wanted information about Burisma?

If you ignore the important question (why was a public statement from the Ukrainian government announcing the investigation necessary?) you end up with an absurd opinion like yours.
-
It was not necessary and it didn’t happen. But obviously Barr would get better cooperation in Ukraine if the top guy made a public announcement. The political benefit is a bonus.

If you ignore the important question (what else did Trump do to route out corruption in the Ukraine), you end up with absurd opinions like yours (that Trump was actually interested in routing out corruption in general, in the Ukraine).
