That was the sentence that prompted me to tweet it. It's wonderfully provocative. If you read to the end, you see great visual writing throughout and a wonderful arc to the article.

That's fair. The Root is as you say. But it would help your worldview to see how things look through another filter.

My confirmation bias helps me like this article and sympathize with the writer. If he were talking about a candidate I liked, I wouldn't feel so happy. I hate that!

The writing is good, urgent and impassioned but the choice for a title for the piece is pure click-bait. He could have deleted "Buttigieg" and inserted any random successful white man in the public eye and lost nothing from the argument. But he wouldn't have got the clicks.
