We can imagine different outcomes for different roles and disciplines. How willing bodies will be to create a properly messy set of rules.... indeed I am not entirely happy with it myself. I still believe the first and primary step has to be to stop calling female sport 6/x

Women's sport and turn men's sport into a true open category devoid of gender or sex labelling so that, regardless of the outcomes of the current research or sporting policy, no trans woman is told she cannot compete in a cat for women and, more inportantly, told she must 7/x

Compete in a cat explicitly labelled for "men". That part is such an easy part to solve and probably should happen even if this particular issue didnt exist (as there is no reason to protect male athletes from elite female athletes anyway) 8/8

@noelplum have you seen this from @ScottAdamsSays starting at 33 minutes he suggests a similar shift in attitudes as I do in segregating sports.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YoQ8y6X8r-A&feature=youtu.be …

I will have a listen. I hope he puts some flesh on the bones though. A lot of people talk about big shifts in sport the way a politician makes vague promises. Likewise, I have siggested what I think is a big shift but I spelt put precisely what I envisage as the categories....

I watched it. I left a comment. Some credit that he put flesh on the bones but in the bizarrest of fashions. No one says "ooh, I fancy watching a woman play another woman at tennis". What? Serena Williams is famous for winning grand slam events. Under his scheme she would ....

Likely never have played in a grand slam event, let alone won one! This means no females ever playing in a rugby, cricket or football world cup. No women at the Olympics (save a couple of events in shooting, equestrian etc). His video is bizarre in the way he portrays how we ...

Under @ScottAdamsSays approach the top females would still be recognised, the market would demand this. A small example of how we do this now can be seen is in running events such as the City to Surf where all athletes compete together the first male, the first female are...

So are they recognised or are they not? If the first female gets a "first female" medal then you still have segregated sport and you solve none of the problems as who classes as female (or, more often as a woman)

Exactly none of the athletes would change just the way we play the game changes.

I am not suggesting that women would be outed from sport or lose opportunity in sport what I suggest would enable every human on this planet to be able to ride a bike, swim a lap, kick a ball with competition that is fairer and far more inclusive then what we have now.

Explain that to me. Wimbledon men's singles. Women's singles. Men's Doubles. Women's doubles. Mixed doubles. My maths makes five. By my understanding you would have two. Are two and five the same? Olympics mens 100m gold. Women's 100m gold. I make that two. How do you make two?

Using the “same number of winners and losers argument” is #Loserthink Having separate categories based on age while also allowing any age to compete (basically eliminating age restrictions) gives you the same number of winners and losers... #ProsPlayingPeewee
