And @HouseDemocrats need to keep reminding people - it’s not about one phone call. The phone call is evidence of a broader policy of POTUS pressuring a foreign government to do things he personally wanted using the official power of the US government. https://twitter.com/AaronBlake/status/1190229207655297024 …

It's not too dangerous. To some degree it is yes. But that doesn't give the president a blank check

I would argue that the responsibility should likely be on congress and/or other agencies though

Is it the candidate’s job to follow election laws, even if the candidate is also the president?

It certainly isn't his job to make sure that there IS foreign interference in the election. "Trump’s “perfect” call, most of the Republicans know, is perfect only in tin-pot dictatorships where the despot uses the power of the state to remain in office."https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/11/01/lets-stipulate-facts/ …

That’s word-thinking. If it is his job to look into foreign interference, and he did so, that’s the end of the debate.

What are the chances that a foreign government would fabricate evidence just to get the money? Now add the country may already be corrupted. It would be highly likely they would tell you what you wanted to hear especially when your appeasing an ego like Donny’s. Not helpful.
