still twisting yourself into pretzels to support Trump, I see. what about questioning a candidate on whether he/she committed $400M in inheritance tax fraud, will release their tax returns even if they're under some mysterious never-ending audit, & gets loans from Russian banks?

so u think it's ok if a candidate has committed 400M in tax fraud, gets loans from Russian banks, never releases their tax returns? you think it's being moralistic to want to know if a candidate is a criminal, or if foreign nations have leverage on them?

Did Obama condition foreign military aid on investigating a political rival? Biden pressured Ukraine to fire a prosecutor with a quid-pro-quo, bc the US & Europe both wanted him fired for not doing hos job. quid-pro-quos aren't illegal unless the quid is for personal benefit.

You: "investigating a political rival" Me: Investigating potential blackmail/crimes that could have serious impact on the country should Biden be elected. Also known as a president's job and top priority. Both descriptions are accurate. Only my description matters.

by ur logic, it would have been ok for Obama to condition $200M in US contributions to NATO or the UN, on Germany & Russia investigating Trump's bank loans from Russia & DeutscheBank, or for a future Pres to condition China trade talks on investigating Ivanka China trademarks.

Yes, if there were obvious reasons to do so. Which in your example is questionable. Personally I have seen no evidence it would be an issue.
