How can it be true that 18% of Americans have no health insurance, while they get healthcare anyway (for the big stuff), and yet it is NOT affordable to insure all? What big lie are we being sold?

Fear mongering like anything else to get votes. The only people not covered are the ones who opt out ( young & healthy) or the not enough $ but too much for Medicaid which if 9% , well then.

It's all a shell game anyway, Scott. Big Gov has NO money of its own (maybe tariffs). It's all taxpayer money. So the Q becomes- who can control cost better, Big Gov or the (sorta) free market? Y'think HMOs ever would have been instituted by Big Gov? They're disliked but save $

I’m a Public Health Nurse in California. One pregnant illegal that gets here & has a HEALTHY baby, costs us $1mill MINIMUM (MediCal, WIC, public school, etc) is we prevent even 100 a year from coming over, we can build the wall and have more folks insured.

We generally see in ONE city ALONE, 3 babies born to an illegal immigrant A WEEK!

Entitlement of services. Nationalized Healthcare would likely not be "emergency only" for those currently uncovered. Where, then, does a line get drawn in a fair way? "Fair" is wildly variable.

We can provide limited care for all. Even great care. But there must be limits if there is no “price system” to limit demand. However Some want no limits, either by price system or by government panels. Must have one or the other. No one can agree on what limits to have.
