Abandoning the Kurds and letting Turkey slaughter them after they put themselves on the line for America's struggle against ISIS is beyond heinous.https://reason.com/2019/10/14/let-the-kurds-come-to-america/ …

How come most people are of the opinion that somehow the US adopted the Kurds, not just partner with them for a time against a common enemy?

My thought also. The critics are acting like everything was fine between the Kurds and ISIS before we came along. They were helping us defeat terrorists in their territory to their benefit. Mission accomplished. Now we are supposed to combat a NATO ally?

Do you advocate abandoning an ally in struggle when it is convenient, because they shared your goal anyway? Will this help US troops to find friendlies in the future? Do you think NATO requires one signatory to clear the way if another signatory wants to invade a third country?

I can’t wait for my friend to ask me to help him move into his new house. Apparently, after helping, I get to live there forever.

Nah. You get to cause problems on the border. Oh, and then take the neighbor's property, too because for four hundred years your ancestors have disliked those neighbors.
